Default May as well introduce myself

I picked up an 03 Discovery a couple months ago as a spare vehicle/bad weather vehicle/something to haul my dog around in. Absolutely loving it so far.

I spent about 7 hours on the paint with poorboys and my orbital buffer when I got it - it still needs some more work, but its looking pretty good. The brush bar was unfortunately rusting a bit - I pulled it off, stripped it, bead blasted it and powder-coated it over the last week.

this site has been a great help so far

Nice D2, welcome aboard. Couple tips for you.

1) Put you vehicle in your signature when you setup your signature
2) Location is nice in your profile as well.
3) Check the VIN against the oil pump issue VINs with the '03 D2s if you have not already. There is a thread with that VIN range listed.

I see you, or at least your D2, is in Virgina as I am. Where are you?

Nice looking shine!

Thanks - and fixed location and sig.

I am in Midlothian/Richmond

As far as the oil pump issue - the Disco has over 100K on it, it was my understanding that if it was going to have the issue, it would have long ago?

Oil pump issue is a complete crapshoot. Some have lasted 100k. others havent been that lucky.
Also, add how many miles on your truck in your sig as well.

Rover Assoc of Virginia (ROAV) has outings spring, summer (coming up end of July), and fall (big event Mid-Atlantic Rally "MAR" that you may enjoy.

LR Richmond has quarterly rover events as well, check their web page, they may have a mailing list as well.
