Mom's old Tdi
Hi all
I'm looking at buying my Mom's 1998 TDI 90, and have been trawling the internet for things like 'how much x is too much x' where x is in [oil, rust] and so on.
Anyway, thought I'd say hello.
Took it for a rust assessment today and found there's a rust hole in the firewall which is pretty bleak news.
Chassis and undercarriage is rusty but alright. Friendly guy Anthony quoted me in the undercarriage revival.
It'll be my 3rd Landy, started with '73 series 3 88" diesel, safari roof. Then graduated to a 97 TDI 110" hardtop, but foolishly sold that about 20 years ago.
