Default Great forum to be a part of.

I’ve used this forum for years as a stalker to help me get my ‘99 Disco 2 in great shape. I just purchased a green 2001 Disco 2 for $400. The owner stated the transmission and transfer case were broken and it would not budge. The rover started right up and sounded fine. After it was towed to my house I looked under it and the front driveshaft was broken off at the transfer case. I felt on top off the transfer case and this model for some reason has a CDL nipple. I turned it clockwise and it

licked and stopped turning. I got inside and fired it up and put it in drive and I drove up the driveway. YES!!! I’ve ordered the Lucky 8 front shaft and numerous tune up parts. I can’t wait to get it back on the road. I’ll probably have close to $2000 in it when I’m done flushing everything and buying tires and a 2” lift. Thanks to this forum it will be a breeze. Thanks.

Thanks. Its a cool day in OKC so I’m working on it today. Installed a new radiator(had a leak), water pump(preventive maintenance), thermostat, installed the front prop shaft, changed the transmission fluid, installed new spark plugs and getting ready to remove the upper intake to change out the coil pack and wires.
