Default New Disco 2 Owner!!!!

Hey guys! I bought a 2003 Discovery 2 around a week ago and am absolutely thrilled! I drove my future father in law's a couple of years ago and have had the itch to get one since! I got a Gray SE with a black leather interior. The interior is in FANTASTIC shape, and the exterior is very good. It has a few dings, and the hood needs to be repainted, but I'm extremely happy with the purchase. It has a few things that need to be replaced, but I'm tackling most of it tomorrow.

Things it needs include:
Crankshaft Position Sensor
O2 Sensor(s)
Pass. side rear window regulator (already replaced driver and passenger front)
Hood repaint
Trim pieces

Those are all the problems that I haven't fixed and know what they are. Know for what I DONT know.

Low beams don't turn on, but high beams do. (Do all four lights turn on for highs? I'm getting three of four, so I assume that I only need to replace one bulb)
Radio is intermittently working. Turns off and on occasionally. I think it has something to do with the HORRENDOUS job somebody did of wiring in Sirius XM.
I don't think my parking lights work. I'm not sure to be honest, because I don't know what they look like on, and I can't figure out how to turn them on other than the second button from the top on the left side of the dash.

That's it. Not bad in my opinion. I'm VERY excited to learn how to work on this vehicle and I'm pumped to take it on many adventures along the way. I look forward to being a part of the Rover community, and I promise I'll wave!

welcome.

Parking lights are turned on via the left hand stalk (turn signal stalk). Turn the end 1 click to turn on the parking lights and the next click is the headlights. The button you were referring to is the fog light switch.

Okay. If that's to turn on the parking lights, how do you activate high beams? And my fog lights are the top button for me and will only turn on in the first click of turning the signal stalk. How do I turn off high beams?

I indeed have no users manual. Thanks for the info though. I just assumed I was turning on the high beams because when I turn on the headlights, they're already on high beams.

It would be helpful if you could drop me a link. I've been searching for it to no avail.

Download the RAVE. It has the owners manual, service manual, elect diagrams. It is priceless if you own a Land Rover.

Many members have the link to the RAVE in their signature.

I have the RAVE already. But I didn't see a regular users manual in it. I probably just overlooked it. Thanks!
