Hi There,

I just purchased a Disco 1 (1997 300TDi) here in Italy. It's mainly a family runner car for around town but will also be taking it in the back country occasionally where the roads are unpaved and pretty bad. Lots of little things are broken or like half-broken and we are fixing them one by one. I think they call it Discovery because there is a new "discovery" every time you drive it!

We love it though and it is so much fun to drive. The kids are obsessed though and also the neighbor's kids and the ones down the street...etc....

Our only major issue is that the kids think we can literally drive anywhere and pick up anything (which we can do). Yesterday they hauled home a huge cargo vessel buoy they found on the beach....
