Default New to Disco's and the Forum

Picked up what I thought was a nice 04 Disco SE until it started the dreaded tick and 3 amigos within the last 1000 miles of my trip upto Michigan from Florida. I bought this truck due to my Subaru being T-Boned :/. Im mechanically inclined just a little nervous with these shifty beasts lol.

ps Admin can i change my s/n i was lazy and signed in with FB

I don't know a way to change your username without making a new account.

Welcome aboard though

Well I have owned it for about a month. I didnt do enough research as it seems. I do enjoy the land rover experience and would love to start off roading. Just not enjoying the tick that showed itself after first oil change. The truck ran smooth just had the 3 amigos when I purchased it.

i would invest a few more dollars in 15-40 shell rotella conventional oil and a new filter, it my not help but its only about $20 to try it. Your truck was not made to run systhetic oil, people do it. But you truck came with conventional oil.

Ok I'll give it a try I'll make a video of the noise today. Also the tick is a hot tick when accelerating it quiets down over 2300rpm and is not noticeable when decelerating the truck
