Default New Discovery Owner

Hey guys, new 1996 Discovery owner here. My first Discovery (have had other 4x4's in the past). I'm in Montana and here's a bit about the Disco:


1996 Land Rover Discovery SD, Series 1.
- Alpine white with Bahama beige Interior and black headliner
- 167K miles
- Automatic transmission
- 4.0 Fuel injected V8
- LT230 Transfer case


Driveline
- Front Driveshaft double cardan driveshaft from Tom Woods driveshafts
- Rear Driveshaft converted to full U-joint shaft from Rotoflex

Electrical
- Optima Yellow Top, deep cell battery with strength indicator at positive terminal
- Rear load space power distribution, 4 circuit panel with 2, 12 volt/USB outlets
- 2, Dual Blue Sea USB charging receptacles located in driver’s cockpit
- Rear Rigid LED flood lights, manually controlled from circuit panel
- Rear Door LED light strip hard mounted
- 7” Round headlamp conversion on custom lamp shrouds

Engine
- 20k miles on new heads and gaskets, camshaft, hydraulic lifters, timing chain and gears, water pump,
clear expansion tank, cooling hoses, valve cover gaskets, ignition wires, vacuum hoses
- 10k miles on new power steering pump and power steering hoses
- 20k miles on Magnaflow stainless steel Y pipe and catalytic converters
- New engine and transmission mounts
- NRP stainless steel muffler and exhaust

Exterior
- Safety Devices, series 1 Highlander roof rack with 3 jerry Can Nests
- Iron Man 4x4 Instant Awning with Evolution P&D rack mounts
- (2) Rigid LED quad lights, mounted under rear rack edge. Manually and reverse switch activated
- Mantec Snorkel
- roof access ladder

Interior
- Exmoor Waterproof Seat Covers, all seats
- New Headliner Express, Black Headliner Install
- Integrated rear load space, floor mount cargo track for various cargo mounting configurations
- All dome lights converted to LED’s
- Updated 1998 dashboard

Navigation/Entertainment
- RAM Mount for tablet/iPad for navigation use
- Sony stereo (specs) system with custom subwoofer enclosure
- Bluetooth pairing for android or iPhone for hands free calling or streaming music
- Amplifier (specs) mounted under driver’s seat
- 2 high range and 6 mid range (specs) speakers

Protection
- Safari Gard front brush guard, with 24” Osram LED light bar and HD anodized, aluminum skid plate
- Superwinch TS 9500 winch with Superwinch green synthetic line
- Hella Optilux 4” HID rack mounted lights
- Evolution P&D steel rock sliders with side rail

Suspension/Steering/Tires
- Old Man Emu 2” lift, coils and springs
- BF Goodrich Radial MT KM2s, 255-85-R16
- Alpine white polyurethane epoxy painted NATO steel rims
- Evolution P&D 1” Anodized 6061-T6 aluminum leveling spacers (all 4 points)
- Terra Firma adjustable panhard rod with polyurethane bushings
- Evolution P&D black anodized, 7075-T6 Drag link and track rods
- Steering damper relocation to drag link

Thanks! The price was right and it checked all the boxes on the things I wanted.

I know he made the housings out of aluminum (he's a machinist).
