New Enthusiast here!
Hey Guys, Very excited to be part of the Land Rover group! I'm the new owner of a freshly traded 2005 LR3 SE V8 in white. The previous owner had it at the dealer for every service from it's birth including a new compressor at 90k, Bushings, diff fluid changes etc. A quick backround on me, I am a car guy and I've been in the industry since I was 16 years old (now 33). I have a electronics backround and worked as a shop manager for Circuit city before getting into auto sales. I've owned alot of different vehicles and love to modify them and do my own work. My skills are limited mechanically, I understand how things work but I save the big stuff for the dealer. Today I seafoamed, and cleaned the intake, throttle plate, and Mass airflow sensor on my LR3. I felt an immediate improvement in acceleration and idle. I do have a frustrating issue that a search doesn't seem to pull up, my transmission seems to hate 50-60 mph in 6th gear. I get what feels like a torque converter vibration that goes away when I accelerate or shift over to sport?! I know the transmission fluid hasn't been changed (I checked with the dealer where it was serviced) do you think that will remedy this issue. I had the software update done last week and they reset all parameters but it hasn't fixed the issue. Any ideas?
Thanks for your help!

Update: Digging around in the UK Rover forums I came across the dreaded Torque Converter shudder. I'm at 110k on my 05 LR3 and the fluid has never been changed so I had it flushed today and added Dr Tranny Shudder fix (red tubes). I drove it 65 miles today on my day off and the transmission feels great, shifts smooth, and no shudder. I have read that a transmission cooler bypasses the radiator where coolant can leak in just enough to destroy your TC or even your transmission. I'll do some searching but I was curious if anybody on this forum added a transmission cooler to their LR3 or is it easier just to replace the radiator?
