New to the forum from Belfast/Canada
Hi All,
A wee bit of history from Irishrover90. I have been fooling around with Land Rovers for almost 40 years. I had a 1962 109 in Belfast in the late 60s.Yes at the same time the British Army where driving them around the streets of Belfast. I emigrated to Canada. My second oldest son became interest in land Rovers starting with a 1962 88". Well to cut a long story short we started going to Land Rover shows in England and about 5 years ago we started bring Land Rovers and parts over ever 6 months. I drive a 1995 standard NSA discovery and 1986 90[defender] which I put a 200 TDI into. The 90 is all kitted out for 4 wheeling, it has a pto winch and bumper on the front, rock slidders, skid plates, and so on. we used to bring over ser: parts, but now have evoled into just bringing over heavy stuff like winches, diesel engines, body panels, and diesel LRs etc. The boy is currently driving a RHD 1991 discovery 200TDI That we lucked into in England. It was one owner with only 45000 miles on it. He was driving a exmilitary 110 V8, but he sold it. I have two 160 acre lots [Land Rover heaven for serious 4 wheeling] If any of you Land Rover nuts find yourselves in north Ontario, 7 hours north of Toronto near #11 highway. You can play there all you want for free. you might even get some free advice whether you want it or not.
Cheers & happy driving
Dennis & Kevin McCullagh.
