New to Group...(Land Rover Forum)
Hello; My name is Donald, I live in San Marcos, CA, and I'm a "returning" college student (50 yrs. old, three left-knee injury/surgeries...State Voc. Rehab.)!
I own/drive a 1996 Land Rover Discovery SD, White in colorwith 178,000 miles on it. Just had the water pump replaced last week (orignial water pump), I 'should have' replaced it about 100,000 miles ago!
Back in 2002, I took advantage of Off-Road Warehouse's "Special Offer" on Bilstein Shocks (all the way around), for $50.00 each!Other than that, its been a "forgiving" SUV! I done a few brake-jobs on it...
I up-graded the sound system...a lot (mainly because a "friend" owed me a 'sum' of money)...I recieved a GREAT sound systemup-grade!
It sure leaks a lot of oil, and I really need to get the intake manifold gasket,head gaskets and cam chain cover gasket relpaced. And then...a really good tune-up! I go to and recommend California Rover, in Encinitas, CA
