Just wanted to introduce myself. Recently in Oct. I scored a green 04 Discovery 2 with 72k miles in decent condition. I have already found this forum useful for repairing multiple issues. <THANKS TO ALL>


So far I installed new front driveshaft u-joints (moog), replaced missing exterior a-pillar cover, replaced and painted RF bumper corner section, LR bumper corner trim, PS pump and serpentine belt, brakes all the way around, Watts linkage bushings, 1 secondary air check valve, steering wheel control switches, rebuilt/cleaned windshield washer control lever and I've changed all the fluids and filters. I still need to figure out why my heated windscreen doesn't work (I think I need the whole window) and my front timing cover is leaking oil. Oh, three amigos (code for shuttle valve) that comes and goes once and awhile when I'm using the abs so I think I'm going to put it the shuttle valve repair kit too.


Yes, these trucks are pigs but I dig 'em.

 

Welcome to the forum, I'm in the area as well. Sounds like you didn't get scared odd by the laundry list of repairs so good for you.
