Default New Guy in Dallas

Hey All
Just got a 95 Discovery for my 16 year old daughter
It's what she wanted for a long time
This truck needs some work but I got it cheap so I figured I could give it a little going through
I've been building International Scouts for about 5 years
I've been driving them off and on for the last 25 years
I always liked the Land Rovers but never built one or worked on one
They seem fairly similar to my IH's to a degree
Everything I've read about the Discovery leads me to believe that they are some real stout vehicles and definitely offroad capable
The truck I bought will definitely not see much action offroad
I'm basically trying to make it a dependable daily driver for safe dependable transportation for my daughter
I'd like to see if there is a group or club in DFW that I can network with for parts, advice, etc

Anyway, thanks for having me

I've gone through the steps that I read about here on the board for cleaning the crud out of an old engine (3.9 1995 93,000)
I'm keeping my fingers crossed but I'm optimistic that this will do the trick
I'm doing a tuneup on the poor neglected vehicle also
I'll post back up when I have the results

Thanks again for all the help
