Default New guy in Houston

Just bought a 2005 LR3 SE, silver with black leather, I've previously owned a 2000 Disco II which I got new and sold in 2006. I'm semi retired and thought keeping another LR running would be a good hobby. I overpaid a bit but it only has 81000 miles and just had the complete air suspension replaced including the compressor. I hope to learn a lot from you folks.

Hi Jeff. I'm new too. I just bought my first today. I was hesitant to buy an older car, but everybody here seems helpful. I think we'll be alright.

Replace or delete the delicate "T" in the cooling system. I deleted mine ASAP as we don't need weak links with our cooling systems in TX. Also get yourself a good scanner like the Icarsoft LR2 or better so you can read any faults if they pop up vs paying $$$$ at the dealer.

I've got 4 D2's, but I got my wife an 06 LR3 HSE and it is very nice. Hope Harvey didn't treat you bad. Not a single LR, my property, or my family were effected thank goodness. Welcome to LRF's & hi from Beaumont/Vidor, TX.

Thanks guys. We came out fine with Harvey, couldn't get out of the neighborhood for a few days because of flooding all around us, but we have a whole house standby genny so sat in the air conditioning and drank beer until it dried out enough to get out.
