The new guy from Missouri.
Hello everyone!
My name is Wheatie and I live in Springfield, Missouri. I bought my '01 Disco II about 2 1/2 years ago and I love it, I named her Kate. She fits my lifestyle perfectly.
I spend a lot of time on the rivers and Kate gets me where I want to go without fail............until recently when she spit a head gasket out of the front of the engine (I guess it didn't taste good to her!)
So after taking her to a local shop and going into cardiac arrest upon hearing their estimate (4G's), I decided to take it on myself. I will post a progress report in the appropriate section.
I have downloaded the RAVE and this has been extremely helpful! Thanks to all for the great advice and info you have made available. I look forward to future correspondence on this forum!
