Looking for opinions on 1999 disco 2 with 160K miles on it, seller is asking $1,500 just to get rid of it his daughter cant drive it, its to big of a vehicle for her, lol. it has cracked front bumber, new tires, new water pump and hoses. My concern is the aveage milage on the motors, how long will they last?

Lets consider the price first, $1500.

$1500!! Thats it! Whether it has 160k or 100k youre still going to be forking out some cash here and there, so hopefully youre a DIY kinda guy.

Id consider any $1500 rig a big boys toy. Something you can rip the carpets out of and paint the floor with bed liner and not care at all.

Just consider what you want this truck to do for you. Roam the forums, search for pics of Discos you like. Get amped to be a Disco owner. I almost wish my $7000 2003 was a $1500 1999.

If it runs great (no loud knocks or ticks), and doesnt have 20 codes id go for it.
