Default New Land Rover Lover

Hello Rover fanatics! I'm happy to announce I've recently bought a Land Rover!

As you can tell from my signature, it's a 1997 Land Rover Discovery SD. I bought it used for 1000 dollars, and in great shape for the price. Book value this car is worth 2500, but the man I bought it from could have EASILY gotten 5 grand for it. I was lucky I knew him and he needed the money, haha.

As with any used car, especially in that price range, it came with a few problems, but nothing overly extensive. He had on 2 Goodyear tires (235/60r16, one of which was the spare), a Kelly (245/65r16) and a Continental (also 245/65r16) and a broken Kelly spare. Ouch. Not a great setup. But I digress.

I am completely in love with these cars and now I understand why there is a whole forum site dedicated to them. I'll be here to ask questions often, so keep a sharp eye out!

Welcome to the forum. 97 is a great year for Discos. I off road my 97 often and have had no major problems with it. Post some pics of your new ride in the Discovery section for us all to admire.
