Hello everyone,
New to Land rover and somewhat new to off road driving. Did my fair share as a kid in a 77' ford f150 with manual three on the tree and a straight six. More getting stuck than actual driving due to the 2x4 setup but with knobby tires on the back we did okay back then.

So I have purchased a 08 LR3 77k miles (see photo) and had an issue right out of the gate. The rear diff started making a noise but the dealer is willing to replace. 7-10 days waiting time on the diff.https://landroverforums.com/forum/im...milies/mad.gif

Can't wait to take it off road....someday!

Yes, through Chicago Land Rover Club. I noticed he posted my question here yesterday. The club has an off road trip planned next weekend and I am going to attend even with the noisy diff. Which actually is not that noisy you have to really listen to hear it. Dealer had to use some listening device to pinpoint the noise source. Drive shaft bearing in rear diff.

These seem to be pretty reliable vehicles. I got mine for a song because it had 170,000 miles on it and ran like crap. I put a set of new coil packs on it and now it runs great. A guy on discoweb said he had a range rover sport (same basic car) and he traded it off with 210,000 miles and it was still running great.
