Default New LR4 Owner

Hey all, Just drove home a 2012 LR4 HSE. Previous Disco II owner, so glad to be back in Rover land. Have service records for recent timing chain replacement (Thank goodness). I didn't pay for it but timing chain replacement said $1,400 just FYI. 112k miles. Gray. Looking good.

Congrats. How does it feel to drive an LR4 after the D2?

Thanks. I love it. Miss some of that vintage DII look and feel but the LR4 is just fun. I guess I could call it a D4 like the Brits haha. What are you driving?

DII myself as well, but my wife has been pressuring me to get something newer. Not that I wouldn't like an LR4, but she doesn't understand that "vintage" vibe.

Congrats. Jealous as currently looking for similar model. Out of interest, how long were you looking before you found the one?

Looking for quite awhile. Most lr4s were just out of my price range. The one I mentioned here, not yet a week old, took it into the shop. Have a $1,000 Bill now for a coolant leak fix and vacuum pump fix. Ouch! But nothing else seemed amiss so hopefully she runs good for awhile. I love it.

I'm kinda prepared for the investment, but as this is my first LR purchase and reading all the "horror" stories, really reluctant to dive in.

Came across a great listing for a 2010 HSE with only 60k on it but it's the only color I won't consider... White.
