I've been hanging out and reading threads on the sight for about a month or so now but have not posted here as of yet. I've been around Land Rovers but have never owned one but I have owned a 1987 Series 3 Jaguar XJ6 that requires the same type of love and attention.
I bought a Discovery 2 for multiple reasons, the first was to have a good vehicle for going out into the wilderness to camp, shoot, hunt, explore, and the second reason ws to provide my mother-in-law a vehicle she feels safe in that will fit our 2 kids in it when they want to take them out.
I found a nice D2 SE7 that happened to have a working DVD player and everything else was functional and maintained. As you can imagine, there are things that needed to be done and things that have been done but overall a really solid vehicle and everyone in the family loves it.
I look forward to working and learning from those of you here that have come before and "been there done that"
Right off the bat, the kids named him Sarge because he looks like,to them, the character Sarge from the movie cars.
