I'm not a Land Rover member yet but I may be soon. I've been a Mercedes-Benz owner for 2.5 years. I love the E-class. The only SUV I've ever even considered owning is an LR3 V8 after driving around in one my friend owns. He's a longtime Land Rover lover and I was simply amazed at the LR3. My brother in law used to sell them and he is looking to get into a Range Rover again as soon as possible.

My Benz was in an accident and the repairs are getting very high. The rack & pinion is bent, they found, and I may either trade it in if they fix it, since I'm not convinced the insurance company will use new parts (likely not, in fact), or they may total it if my alignment specialist gets in there and realizes he may not be able to align it properly again. I doubt the insurance company will total it at this point since they've put some $$ into it already, but I may not be happy with the steering when I get it back.

Anyway, there's also a little one on the way and I loved the space inside the LR3. Seemed to be safe enough in terms of handling and I was really impressed with the sporty-stiffness of the ride. We'll see how it goes - it's tops on my list right now if we had to get something!
