Hello all,
Looooong time lurker, finally joined the fraternity.

Bought a 2003 Disco II, 123K miles on frame, engine is a 4.sl0w installed at 63K miles. I can only assume it was for the oil pump issue ?

Truck ran well on the 2 hour trip home, until I got to "fixing" it

A quick degrease of the engine and an oil and filter change and now I have 6 misfire codes, a stumbling truck along with an oil leak. Woohoo !

After running all over town trying to find Non-Chinese U-joints for the drive-shaft rebuild, I finally decide to just take it to a drive-line shop.
Upon crawling under the truck to pull out the shaft I notice that the shaft is labeled Great Basin L/R with all zerk fittings. Bonus !
If only I could get grease into the blasted centering ball needle point tip !

Rear drive-shaft U-Joint took grease to only 3 of the 4 joint ends, no amount of smacking with a hammer helped the last one.
Rotoflex is whipped, need to work that item.

Glo-shift samich' oil adapter and gauge installed,
New Rotella 15-40 and 51515 filter shows 52psi cold idle, 16 hot idle, 45psi hot at 2500rpm. Seems like good numbers ?
Has a nice tick, tick, tick

Glo-shift water temp gauge is next as soon as I get the cooling system flushed and new AB thermostat installed.

Kingsborne 8mm wires on order and new plugs to hopefully clean up the stumbling and misfire codes.
Then on to the 3 Amigo pals.

Now the radio shows the station but no sound ?
Welcome to Club Rover !

Tried to upload pix but they wouldn't go through, maybe next time.
Hope all are well, just wanted to say hello, thanks for taking the time to freely share your knowledge and information.

Good luck getting her sorted, it'll be worth it when you're done!
