new member in colorado, 2nd rover

Default new member in colorado, 2nd rover

Just saying hello, I have owned and renewed now 2 disco 2s, the first being a 2000 (sold) the new one is a low mileage 2004.
Used a lot of info off this forum, thank you

2004 was bone stock three weeks ago
so far:
new front drive shaft
new ball joints
new bearings
new axle seals

04 DISCO

new headliner
3 amigos sorted
leaking valve cover gaskets sorted
new tie rod
new drag link
new sway bar ends
detailed interior
newer driver seat leather
touch screen radio sirius xm, bluetooth etc.
3 inch hd terra firma (i know some people don't like the brand, works great, 300 miles off road already) Went with heavy duty springs as i will use the rover to plow my driveway
new Stainless brake lines
Rear suspension limiting straps
Lucky 8 winch bumper
10K winch
Hella 500s (on foot switch, one of my favorite mods)
Headlight fogging serviced
Disco 1 wiper conversion
265/75/16s, ironman AT
Tire carrier flip

Rock slider, rear bumper, subwoofer, new speaker to be done...

Nice truck. When you say "headlight fogging serviced" what exactly did you do?

The 2004 headlights were heavily oxidized
they responded nicely to a light sanding with 2000 grit wet sanding followed by automotive fine scratch remover using a micro fiber cloth, came out looking new

Indeed, thanks. I've done the same. I thought you might have discovered a way to rid the condensation that sometimes builds up within the lens. A problem I have with one of mine.

My 98’ has glass headlights. Look brand new after 22 years (bragging of course)
