Hello Everyone,

Hoping you could shed some information on my Land Rover. -Pictures Bellow-

I have what I believe to be a 1984 Series IIIS, a former military truck from SA, with the straight 6 petrol 2.6L engine (R6).

Any info you have on these trucks would be greatly appreciated. Anyone have any pictures of their military use or info of their history?

Also, I have been unable to find a VIN or Chassis number. There is no identification plate on either side of the bulkhead and no luck around the chassis or spring hanger, any suggestions?

My goal right now is to replace the throw-out bearing and pilot bushing. Just don't want to order the wrong parts.

Any info you can give is GREATLY appreciated,

Your best bet would be "defender source". Just google and join. They would be able to answer your questions better.
