Hi, I have a 1997 Discovery 1 SE7 we bought 18 years ago, that due to living in locations with good access to professional (high priced) care and regular servicing has been a very good performer that I could take into the back-country with no worries. For various reasons, we are now a couple hundred miles from the nearest Rover Dealer/Service and the old Rover is starting to have engine problems. Also, we were able to recently buy an absolutely beautiful 2008 Range Rover Sport HSE with the Lux features. I guess I will now be the designated mechanic for both of these great vehicles. Fortunately, I have a large, reasonably well-equipped shop. Unfortunately, my experience is in restoring/reviving old Ford and Chevy pickup trucks. I now need to learn enough about maintenance and repair of my Rovers to give them the care they deserve. After a couple weeks lurking on the Forum, I can see that this is a great resource with a lot of the shared experience I will need.
