New guy out of Boise. Picked up a 1999 D1 with 162,000, rock sliders, winch and off road bumper last Friday. Bought it to do some adventures with the kids. Long time lurker under an old account. I’ve been after a Discovery for years. Here to keep learning, thanks for all the info! Currently navigating a slight transfer case leak, moderate power steering leak, and crank pulley wobble. Installed an ultra gauge, started throwing codes for an O2 sensor and low efficiency catalytic converter post purchase. It’s currently with an Indy shop for a post purchase inspection for anything I haven’t detected. Fortunately I have a couple neighbors with a D1 and D2 with lots of knowledge and diagnostic equipment.
