I got bored with my little Jeep Liberty diesel, which was a fun little toy but a royal pain in the rear to keep running. So I went looking for something different and came home with a 2006 LR3. It is a SE with the V6. I was thinking if I drove well I might see 20 mpg but my first and only tank thus far was only 16.5 with about 70 per cent highway driving.
I looked at a few but the one I wound up with won me over as it looks like a brand new vehicle. I cannot believe eight former owners managed to keep this thing looking this good. And it was not just a good job of detailing either. I am pretty good at polishing junk but this thing is mint. It only has 145000 km to date, which helped I suppose. I paid 8000.00 Canadian which is peanuts for such a nice vehicle. It has a few minor issues which I will ask about in the appropriate forum. I have already ordered the gap scan tool because I have a nice shop and I like to fix my own stuff.
