Hi all, just joined and introducing myself...

I moved to USA from Scotland 5 years ago (wifey is US Citizen). Had a bunch of LR's over the years. Presently have an LR3 (it'll always be a Discovery 3 to me lol) which is my daily commuter. Bought it 2 years ago when it had 24k miles on it...now got 68k. No problems to date with it, except for front diff. which was replaced under warranty at 50k miles.

Have done some off-roading with it (and have the bramble rash to prove it), but nothing too extreme as I still have the crappy road tires it came with. I'll be looking to put some better rubber on very soon.

'Part from that, I'm planning underbody protection, winch and expedition rack sometime in the future as I plan to do some extended touring to see some of this fine country.

I'm originally from Stornoway in the Western Isles, but I've lived all over: Glasgow, Inverness, Aberdeen, Shetland Isles.

There's some nice country around Kinloss. Used to spend a lot of time around the area many years ago.

Cheers!

Yeah, there's some nice beaches (like Nairn) but it's usually too cold to enjoy them. We specialise in blue children.

Best to enjoy the Scottish beaches from the inside of a Land Rover.
