Just bought a 2023 DEFENDER 130 SE. Off-road pack. Country pack. Added Expedition roof rack, 130 hood decal. Bought it in CA but live in Albuquerque.
Time to get busy and trick this puppy out! Haven’t sold it yet but bought the 130 as a replacement for a much-loved 2006 Hummer H2 that is showing its age. We traded a 2003 LR Discovery for the H2 in early 2007. We have returned…..
We spend 4-5 weeks in SW Colorado hitting Jeep trails, Black Bear, Engineer, etc, etc. Looking forward to dingin’ up skid plates on the 130! We’ve already made 2 road-trips between San Diego and Albuquerque. As much as I despise interstate travel, she’s a dream on the highway. Went thru 2 wicked dust storms on I-8 and I-25 and was loving the real-time air quality monitor. Nearly hit 500 PM2.5 on the exterior reading!
More to follow. Easter dinner is almost on the table!
Woo Hoo! Sweet ride! I'm in Rio Rancho; you'll have to let me know where the good trails are. BabyDisco is a pavement princess but I'm thinking I need to branch out. What does (Nearly hit 500 PM2.5 on the exterior reading!) mean, I don't understand. And welcome back and happy first fruits!
I had to look up PM2.5. Particulate Matter defined by the EPA. The 130 has crazy cabin air handling, at least exceeding anything I’ve seen before. Thursday 3/30 when it was crazy windy I was coming up I-25 south of Los Lunas and hit a wall of dust/sand. It was interesting to watch the screen which showed animated graphic of the air going from clear to not but the cabin only going from 1 to 4. Cheap entertainment at 80mph after having driven from Tucson.
For 25+ years we’ve trailed all around Durango, Lake City, Telluride, Gunnison, etc. Locally, I take the hard way to get to the upper Rio Vallicitos for some fly fishing. Happy to share details!
