Default New in NJ: clueless but happy

greetings all,
I'm Carlo, finally an owner of a 1996 Disco SE - after 2 years of dreaming online. Hope to benefit from the knowledge here - and I could use it too. I'm really only now starting to learn. Sad to say that, while I've been driving 4x4s (Cruisers/military Defenders) in African war zones for 15 years,
I couldn't tell you what a head gasket looks like...

Found this off San Diego Craigslist, had it mechanically restored by Elias Christeas of worldprovenlr.com - what a champ.
what a thrill it was, full of wonder and joy, driving her endlessly on the freeways, with that commanding view, and enough pep to keep up.

So it arrived today. started right up, and except for frozen wiper fluid and a sticky gear shift, all was good. Until the check engine light came on.
Ice/thawed water in the fuel line?
I have a half tank of regular...OK to top off with premium? would adding Heet help?

Could also use some help in terms of:
1 - a good shop/mechanic in northern Jersey
2- need running boards and a new windshield
3- I wanna take down the 4 Hellas (not connected right now), and maybe exchange the lower two for LED fog lamps at some point.
thanks...feels good to know there's LR lovers everywhere...

thanks. Safari rack, came with the Rover..There's about 3-4 inches space between, so ro problem at all with opening/closing the sunroofs.
I personally will look at something more flat, so I can lay down a board and stand on top with my tripod.
for photography from on high.
