Default New owner in Wisconsin!

Hello all. As the title says, I'm a new owner living in Wisconsin. And I have a question for any other Wisconsinites who own Land Rovers. Where do you get your vehicle serviced?? I'm highly tempted to take mine to Appleton as there is the Land Rover dealer there who will obviously know more about them than the local idiot. Has anyone ever used them? Are they going to screw me big time? Thanks for any advice :-))

1. Is the dealer going to screw you? Not from their viewpoint, they charge enough to stay in business and support all their employees and very skilled technicians. That always costs more than an indy shop.

2. Are there good indy shops? Yes.

3. Could any village idiot work on a Rover? I'm the poster child for that.

4. If you download the RAVE (factory service manual set) - you'll have the information neded to do what needs to be done to the truck, even if you elect to have a pro handle it.

5. If you wanna DIY, this forum will be a source despair and repair under the same roof, encouraging those to who wish to wrench and suggesting problem areas to those seeking a "second opinion".
