Hello all! I have been looking around this forum for a while I guess I will at least post an introduction. I recently purchased a 2004 Discovery SE7 with 71k miles. The bulk of the suggestions from the "major service" thread have been done within the last year. The oil was just changed before I bought the truck so at the next oil change I will be switching over to the Rotella T6. Other work that is planned is replacing the tail door lock actuator. I tried rebuilding it yesterday with only mild success. After taking the motor apart and cleaning and lubricating it the actuator worked for a few dozen cycles in my hand, then once I installed it in the truck and buttoned it up it worked for probably another dozen cycles before it froze up again. I think there is just a bad spot in the commutator in the motor so if it happens to stop there I am SOL.

I am enjoying the truck a lot so far, I would like to do do some off roading in it, unfortunately there doesn't appear to be hardly any trails in my area of the state with the exception of a few private parks.
