Newbie with a 2012 LR4
Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm a man of limited wealth and questionable taste, but I did buy a 2012 Land Rover LR4. I've been working on turning it into my family camping mobile and fall hunting vehicle.
So far I've added a Frontrunner drawer system as well as roof rack. I've also installed Tactical 4x4 bumpers, a winch, and swing out tire carrier. I'll add some thoughts about why I chose what I did and whether I would do it again as I have some time in the future.
20+ years ago I had a high school teacher who had a Series II Rover which he drove from Maine to Prude Bay and then down to Tierra Del Fuego, so it was finally time for me to see what this Land Rover thing was all about. I drove a Jeep at the time, but that was before I was wise enough to know that I needed to look at things like payload instead of tire size. Anyway, I enjoyed tinkering with that older truck and so far am definitely enjoying this one.
Looking forward to talking to you all more.
Best Regards,
Will
