Hello all, from the Olympia area and I just bought my second Rover. '02 Disco II SE, Borrego yellow. Looking forward to getting some good info here to keep my rig out of the shop and on (or off) the road.

ah ha! another olympia member. i am actually in lacey not olympia but we wont let the change of 3 miles stand between us.

there is a group of off-roading idiots, uh i mean enthuasists, based out of ft lewis who do a fair amount of trail running and getting stuck when we are home - most of us are currently in iraq til the summer (we get to play with strykers and humvees but there isnt a cold beer to be had for MILES! ugh...). mostly jeeps, but there are 2 of us with disco's. we welcome the opportunity to have another landy to help retrieve the jeeps.

get in touch if you need any local trail/rover info or wish to join us for a trip and a beer.

btw i recommend going out south of town by rainer rd . its on the map as TA 23. military property officially but the MPs leave you alone as long as you are sober and not tearing anything up...

Thanks! And thanks for the info.

I know you hear it all the time, but thank you for serving. My brother is in the AF, and just got back from Afghanistan, he was stationed at a Brit Airbase and was pretty stoked to be surrounded by Defenders all day. We are glad to have him home though.

Look forward to hooking up with you guys when you get back.

STAY SAFE!

Thanks, and I WISH I had 2!!

I used to have a '96 DI SD, but I blew the engine to pieces after an overheating spell on the interstate. The repair work was over my head and twice the value of the truck, so I had to get rid of it
