hahaha this! the 1st sign was when i couldn't mount my rear license plate. the bracket was missing. now i gotta pay home depot a visit for "metric" screws and ebay for the bracket. i already knew it had the 3 amigos on. 2000 model, 167k miles, valve cover oil leaks, interior needs some tlc. traded a totaled grand marquis mercury and $500 for it. wish me luck. btw I'm searching like crazy but i find dead links, does my disco have a cdl and where do i buy a linkage? thanks everyone.

 

2000 should have a cdl case. You can retrofit a shift linkage from a Discovery 1 or a 04 Discovery 2

truer words have never been spoken... I highly recommend a Costco membership with an automitic renewal for advil, a prescription for a mild hallucinogenic/mind numming opioid and Metamucil.....

 

The fine people on this forum have gotten me through many frustrating gremlins with my D2.
It's a love hate relationship with these things.
