Default PLEASE HELP!!!! Need an affordable mechanic in Chicago?

I'm looking for a rover mechanic in Chicago that isn't going to charge me an arm and a leg. My disco had been leaking antifreeze and one day it overheated and one of the hoses came loose and spilled antifreeze everywhere.

Any suggestions?

Try Lindberg Automotive in Lake Zurich, IL.
I take it you don't want to try this on your own?
Too bad, the Chicago Land Rover Club just had a garage day at my house on Sunday. Try contacting the Pres of the Chicago club. He just had some similar issues on his D2 and might be able to help.
Did the truck overheat and then the hose popped off, or did the hose pop off then the truck overheated?

It may have overheated and then popped off. I had a leak which was causing my antifreeze to get low but I would fill it up but it's possible that I let it get low and it overheated.

I'd love to be able to do it myself but I don't have faith in myself like that.

Is Lindberg reasonable? I'm hoping that I don't have a head gasket issue or worse and I have read here that the cost for that should be around $1400 but some shops are charging between $2400 and $3500...

As reasonable as Land Rover repairs can be.
Could you tell where it was leaking from before the overheating incident?
D1 or D2?

Ahhh, thats always fun. See the "To repair or not?" thread in the D1 board. You'll get a better idea of what's involved. Or come out to the Chicago Land Rover Club meeting tomorrow and I can walk you through it, etc.
