Default Greetings from Lake Tahoe

Howdy folks...allow me to introduce myself.

My name is Ian. I will be purchasing a 1998 Discovery in the next two days. I'm sure I'll be dropping by on a frequent basis. This will serve as a third vehicle for towing and for the family to take camping. So over the next couple of years I plan on adding some things to the vehicle.

Any must haves?

Your own copy of the RAVE download, the complete set of factory tech and owner manuals, free in link in my signature.

Look at an Ultra Gauge, it is a combo code scanner and digital display, about $70, plugs into OBDII port, can monitor things like engine temp (factory gauge is too slow to respond), read and reset codes (saves $90 every time you do that).

Read up on all the DIY things and high miles service list in our tech section. Best overall oil is Shella Rotella 15W40.

A camera to post pix of adventures, under the hood and in front of it.
