I'm the new owner of (well, my girlfriend is, technically) a 2016 LR4 HSE HD. I've previously had a 1990 Isuzu Amigo that I outfitted with lockers plus a Toyota transmission with two transfer cases, a 1983 Unimog 416 Doka that I also did a lot of work on, and a Jeep Liberty CRD with only a mild lift, but which I didn't do anything extreme in.

Looking around for something that could haul all my music gear to gigs, and might serve as a platform for future adventure, I kind of stumbled on the LR4 after looking very hard at newer 4Runners. This LR4 was a good deal, from what I can tell. Looking forward to learning about quirks, preventive maintenance, buildout options, and which spare parts should be carried at all times.
