Slowly restoring a Series 2, in Australia
G'day from Brisbane Australia,
After my first 'mid-life crisis' where I restored a VW Kombi, I had my second one last year and purchased a 1960 Series 2 (Ex-Aussie Army) and I am slowly restoring her. She had a Holden 202 engine and I managed to kill that when trying to start it (I suspect a big end bearing went), so I tracked down a 2.25 petrol Landy engine, rebuilt that and now I am starting to think about painting. The engine is in and the panels have been stripped and epoxied and I am finishing off the mechanical things before painting. Lots of bad words have been said and a bit of blood has been spilled, however she is progressing!
Here she is so far
