Had a reservation on a new Ford Bronco Badlands. Got tired of all the moving goalposts and canceled my reservation last fall. Grabbed a 2017 Jaguar F Type R to play with thinking “I’ll just wait a bit. I’ve had a Wrangler before and don’t really want another one. I don’t want to deal with Ford until they sort out all these issues, and I can’t get a Defender anywhere either. I’ll just play with my sports car a while and wait.”

Fast forward to these crazy used car shortage times and my F Type is worth so much now I was able to trade it in for more than I paid for it last fall. And I jumped on a Defender 90 that was in transit to a dealer a couple of hours away from me that no one had claimed yet.

it’s not exactly how I would’ve ordered it (no off-road pack) but if I’m being honest with myself I’m not going anywhere at my age where I need a rear locker any more… lol

It is a X Dynamic S, so the P400, in Tasman Blue. Ebony interior. Air suspension and cold climate pack. 6011 style black wheels. I’m sure it’s more capable in that spec than anything I’m going to do with it. I will probably change the tires out for all terrains.

looking forward to being part of this community and taking the 90 out to camp and explore and to the beach etc. for years to come!
