I am currently on holiday in Perth, Western Australia.
My friend with whom I am staying with while on holiday, the week before my arrival, purchased a 1999 D1 V8.
Now I have to admit to never being much of a 4x4 fan up till now, but my first ride in his vehicle had me hooked!
I have been in a Range Rover 4.6 HSE model, but did not like it.....slid all over the seats!
This D1 had a nice ride, and I liked the more simplistic dash, but most of all I liked the seats with the fabric covers, and the way it held me in place.
So.......even though I am still on holiday, I have made arrangements to purchase the below pictured 1999 D1 V8.
It is a used Japanese import version, imported into New Zealand, and has been here since 2004. The speedo is currently showing 189,000 odd kilometres travelled.
I have spoken with the owner, and he has confirmed maintenance history etc.
Looking forward to collecting this vehicle and the drive home!
