Discoveries don't have independent suspension? I thought they did--it seems like if FJ Cruisers had it then Land Rovers Definitely would. I guess it does come down to skill though, and I don't think he has any considering he's never taken it off road. Are there really even big advantages to having I.S.? Because I've heard that Solid axles are better unless you're into serious rock crawling.

No sir all DI's and DII's have solid axles....and that is a good thing. Solid axles are tougher and allow for longer wheel travel (generally speaking).

Very nice picture...is that yours?

Thanks, and Yep, it's mine. I see your point about the solid axles, and if its a good thing....then good! I'll try to take some pictures tomorrow and post them in the gallery since I havent posted any yet.

I visit the forums, I'm also considering buying a rig from a current TREC member, but I wouldn't consider myself a legitimate member. I've never met any of them, haha. Plus, I'm 2.5 hours away from their meeting spot.

Same here. I've looked at the forums too, but I live about 2 hours away. I dont know any of them either, and it seems like it would be kinda awkward to just show up at one of their meetings-even though the site says to.
