Thanks to all!
Hi,
I am a new owner of a 2002 Discovery SE Westminster with 67K, thanks in large part to all of the info I found on this site for the last year and a half. I have been looking into Discos for almost 10 years, off and on, but got serious recently and found a pristine example to enjoy. I got a great deal because the truck had a vibration that was getting fairly noticable during acceleration, and I believe the previous owner thought it was something serious, but after looking at the service records, and talking with him, I was fairly confident it was the front driveshaft, and luckily I was right, because after replacement of the front driveshaft the vibration is gone! Its amazing what a little knowledge of the vehicle can do for your buying confidence.
But even with all the info I had learned over the years, I didn't know there was a Westminster edition for the Disco in 02, but I'm glad I found one. It has all the things I wanted like leather, HK sound, 18s, moonroofs, but no SLS or ACE, which seemed to be cool options but would cost money to maintain that I wouldn't have to worry with on the the standard setup.
Within the last year the trans fluid and coolant had been replaced, and I'm working to finish the 60K service list, having already completed the engine flush, front driveshaft, seafoam, plugs and wires.
Thanks again to the Land Rover forums for all the info!

Hi there!! hey, post a pic. I have the same rig and I love it. Getting the front shaft replaced very soon myself. Disco Mike would have my hyde if I didnt I dont have the SLS or the ACE either and I think I am glad about that. Seems to ride great without them and less to worry about fixing. I have learned so much from this site myself and I am with you, Thanks so much to the forum and the guys on it!!!
