Default Time to adventure!

Greetings from SoCal! I just bought my first Land Rover, a 2005 LR3 HSE. It was technician owned so I feel somewhat comfortable with the car...for now. There are still little quirks that I'll be sure to post for help with and I'm completely new to 4x4 trucks! I've always had a little sports car (most recently a BMW M3) but too tired of being told which trails I can or can't access, so I had to make a change! You should've seen me loading firewood into that tiny trunk.

I'm relatively experienced with car stuff... comfortable changing tires, oil, rotors/pads, belts, etc, but know nothing about this car. Excited to learn.

I love to hike, fish, camp, backpack, etc. I'm fairly new to Cali too (about 5 years) but have already ventured out to many places. Sequoia is a big favorite. I live/work in the city and always say: "the only way to survive LA is to escape it".

Open to suggestions of where to escape to! I'm thinking I need to check out all this snowfall in Tahoe...

First quirk that maybe someone can help with... It's an HSE through and through, except the Aux jack is plugged with some sort of cap. After prying, I realized it's completely empty and there's no input. Has anyone seen/heard of this? Where is best place for parts? Even a junk yard ought to have one I can rip the aux module out of and wire it in? The wiring is indeed there, just no 3.5mm jack. The plug looks factory. So strange.

Thanks! Cheers to new adventures!
