I have a 1995 LR D1, a 1998 LR D1 and a 2001 D2. The '95 has a good engine but dead starter and fuel pump and rusted floor pans. The '98 starts but dies when you try to give it gas. The '01 ran well until last week when a radiator hose blew out and overheating blew out the head gaskets and not sure what else. Neither I nor my mechanic can figure out the problem with the '99 - the body is good and changing the fuel pump did not help. My question is - can I remove the head from the '95 D1 and put it into the '01 D2? Are they interchangeable? What is the best combination to get a good running vehicle? Or should I just sell all three to an enthusiast who wants to do the work? Disco Daddy
