Hello all, I just recently bought a 96 disco for $3400 Craigs L.A. It has 78,000 on the odometer. I tried to get it smoged but the check engine light came on. P1178 is the culprit. I checked connections to the MAS everything seems OK. Any help would be appreciated. I am planning on a 5,000 mile trip down in Mexico (Pacific beaches,Matzitlan,Puerto Viarta, Xtapa, Acapulco then to the interior of Mex. on the way back) On the way we will be traveling through desert (Arizona,Sonora,and Sinaloa). Any suggestions on spare parts to bring. Is it Ok to trust this Disco(sorry for the lack of confidence). My kids are 3 and 10 my wife is from Mexico so we know where to stay awy from in terms of roads and narcos. I'm just worried about potential breakdowns. I've done this trip when our Sante fe was new, and in a Cherokee that had 145000 miles on it. One more thing I've noticed a fresh water drip on the passenger floor board when the AC is on, any ideas?
