Serious performance = serious money and work. If you want serious performance start with the bottom end first - billet balanced crank, steel rods, matched pistons, bolts etc. If you you go cheapskate and just try to increase horsepower top end you will soon end up with a heap of bent, mangled metal when a rod breaks and goes through the crank casing. Best talk to or better still let a pro engine builder/tuner prepare the engine it's cheaper in the long run. Then comes the other problems with all that HP, transmission and driveshafts, brakes and stopping power, etc, etc - it all ends up BIG $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

If I had an LR3 the only thing I'd want to do is add solid axles under it.
