Default Another one bites the dust!

Not that I used the site very much, maybe once per year, but this seems the norm these days.

"Dear Forum Member

We recently carried out a strategic review of our various business activities. FrenchEntrée, with its magazine, popular website and property services business offers first time buyers and people moving to France a valuable range of information and advice. It is a growing part of our business and increasingly respected. However, on reviewing the performance and role of the Forum, the outlook was less positive.

Although the FrenchEntrée Forum remains popular amongst a small number of British people living in France it has not proven to be an attractive resource for our core audience of international property buyers. Members sign-ups and posting numbers have declined – not an unusual industry trend as publishers are having to maintain and support growing numbers of people who enjoy using other digital channels like social media. Unfortunately, in this demanding business environment the Forum also requires substantial amounts of moderator resource and software support.

We regret to inform you therefore that we have reached the conclusion that we can no longer carry on supporting the Forum and it will close for new members and new postings as of March 26th 2018.

We would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to our loyal and ever patient Forum Admin, Char (Charlotte Fabian), for all the years she has contributed ensuring the smooth and happy running of the Forum. Char will remain in the role of FrenchEntrée website Editor.

We would also like to thank all our active members for their contributions to the Forum and we hope you will continue to enjoy reading our*newslettersand*online articles. Readers will still be able to engage and interact via our Article Comments,*Facebook*and*Twitter*channels.

Please note that although The Forum will close for new posts it will remain online for people to view historic posts and threads.

Yours sincerely

Ben Stephens

Publishing Director"

In truth, who cares, it's just another advertising medium for trash and houses in France. There is rarely anything substantial or articles of interest on there just advertising of old houses.
