Default Anyone interested in buying my Disco

So after back and forth throwing money in trying to get disco to run smoothly I've come to the point where I'm just tired of messing with it. And yes this is my daily driver. I love my Disco but you know how things go with it so I'll have to let it go. The issue I have with it is that O2 sensor codes are showing up, multiple misfires, knock sensor driver side. I changed the purge valve, the O2 sensors and then the spark plugs today. As I was driving my vehicle starting losing power and almost stalled. I don't have the patience or energy to mess with it anymore. So I'm just gonna sell it.

List of parts and things I've done to it:
3" lift kit OME kit
Gywnn Lewis Sumo HD SS steering and track bar
Slickrock fabrication quick disconnects on front
Tom wood's both front and rear drive shaft
Viper alarm and auto start
Chequer plate on the hood
Hikari 12000 lumen LED headlight bulbs
JBL component and tweeter speakers with cross overs front and rear powered by infiniti 4 channel amp
Inline thermostat mod
New grill
New A pillars
New windshield cowl
New alternator
New red top optima battery

big 3 upgrade power cables
New starter
16" steel wheels from Rimmerbros
285/65r16 Cooper Stt pro tires
New ignition cylinder

replaced hoses and radiator 3 years ago
Head gasket job in October 2021

had the front end of the vehicle repainted, hood and fenders
New sparkplugs Autolite double platinum

Replaced cats 4 years ago
Replaced cat back 2 years ago

So quite of bit of money and work I done to it. If you have any questions feel free to reply here or PM. Thank you.

A damaged knock sensor cable will cause those problems. It's a coaxial cable so a simple butt splice won't work. Has to have the shield intact. Very common for this to get damaged during a HG job.

If your knock sensor isn't working due to a bad cable the cable would be getting electrical noise induced from the nearby electrical components... Correct me if I'm wrong but that would lead the ECU to think it was under constant detonation... The ECU then starts retarding the timing and adjusting the air/fuel mixture to compensate... Which will throw O2 sensor codes as well as the code for the knock sensor. Your 02 codes were the symptom, not the problem.

No you're right, I had an issue with the knock sensor cable before. I had to splice a longer piece of wire to the connector but not sure if I did a good job. This was a couple of years ago. If it is the cable what would you suggest I do to fix it?

In my case my shop had a salvage wiring harness and they pulled the knock sensor cable off that and replaced my damaged one with it, soldering in at the loom end.

okay so I changed the knock sensor out this morning (AutoZone part) same one I used back in 2018. I unhooked my battery to reset the truck then reconnect it. I turned on my vehicle then took it for a drive, the horrible shaking and loss of power seemed to go away, then I went to AutoZone for a code read and got the codes and they are as follows:
P1560
P0135
P0155.
Just to double check I drove to Oriellys and got my codes read with the more expensive code reader and there were two more additional codes which are: P0307 and P0303.

So the main issues were knock sensor, purge valve and O2 sensors. I installed new O2 sensors, valve, knock and new spark plugs so I'm not sure what's going on now. I'm not messing with my vehicle until there's an explanation to why I'm still misfiring and why my new O2 sensors up front are reading bad.

You have a Queen and are treating her like a third rate hooker.

You can't just use the cheapest parts on these trucks or you will end up broke and angry. Get the metaphor?

It is actually worth the money to go with legit parts at a fair price.

No need for the most expensive either.

Treat her like the Queen she is and she will return the favour every single time.

Lots of great info on this site to help you try to do the right thing the first time...
