Bronco Goes BOOM in mud:
I don't think his local Ford Dealership is going to warranty that especially once that video goes viral. Tall skinny pedal never wins in situations like that!
I have always said more rubber and less wheel. The 20's were a poor choice on the new Defender, but I know why they did it (larger brake rotors). I'd have stacked some rocks personally, but boo boo's can and will happen out on the trail.
TFL guys are horrendous drivers, can't believe they still get viewers. I watched them run Red Cone in their D2 and there was zero fanfare involved in our groups the times I've ran it..that said the red d1 in that video is one of my favorite guys to wheel with and a great wealth of knowledge!

Yeah, my biggest take-away from second video had nothing to do with driving abilities of occupants. It was the fact that the new defender pails in comparison (factory options) to the other two brands...in the off road department. They come with sissy tires, meant for nothing more than a two-track or fire trail or a single snow flake. They rely to much on TC technology, adjustable ride height capabilities and other gobbled-gook that will most likely fail in the worse moment, while off road.
Was at the ford dealership two weeks ago, came inches away from buying a nice off-road packaged bronco. Locker/tire package, hard-top/roof rack, sliders, steel front bumper, larger engine/10 speed trans, tow package...came in around 40Kish. They offer a ton of great options, for off roading. We just can't decide on the amount of doors at the moment, the two door is super cool...but not to keen on wheel-base for towing horse trailer. Plus, the bronco is ten times cooler looking than the defender. Those stupid "angry-eye/jeep-like" headlights on the new defender make me want to throw up every time l see one.
From the factory...in my opinion..the new defender is just a glorified socker mom vehicle/status symbol...and nothing more.
Anyhow...

I agree Deputy. My dad has a 4 door bronco on order that's fully loaded (can't remember the package but it's one down from the first edition) I am excited if he ever gets it, I still haven't seen one in person on the 35s yet. The base with the smaller tires is overall very underwhelming in the looks department but still far better than the new defender. The LR Denver dealer manager has a new defender on 35s and one on 37s. He took one of them on the TFL when they ran wheeler lake but it still is meh, though the new defender sure does look better on 37s it still has like zero travel and is seriously way too tall
All the Bronco's here have 70K stickers on them. I honestly see more in the used car lots vs new at Ford Dealerships. I think people grabbed em and now can't make the monthly payments or something.
I am not a fan of the new Defender at all. I've seen several out on the trail (friend has the kit to run 35/37's from Colorado which was 20K and VERY time consuming to install properly). Yes it can wheel, but I am not a fan of the engines, the tech, or the look. If I had to go with a 2020 or newer 4x4 it would be between a TRD Pro 4Runner, Bronco 2DR, or wait for the Grenadier. I have 5 paid off classic LR's and new & fancy just isn't my thing. I get more compliments on the Rusty but Trusty XD than I ever did with anything new and shiny.
