Default Ferrari F50

You may have read about the car storage guy who drove someones £1.1 million F50 on a farm road, flipped it over and killed a 13 yo boy. The court called in a Ferrari expert from Ferrari, Italy to give evidence. He stated "the F50 had just been serviced which cost £58,000" hell that's $80K+, that's more value than all of my vehicles put together, horrendous. How some live is unbelievable.

Yep.

I remember my brother was thinking about getting a Ferrari 308 since around 2007ish they were around the $20-30k mark but he passed when an oil change apparently costs like $3k or something crazy.

Tell your brother to buy a 308, just NOT a cheap one!!! An oil change is only about $150 at a shop.
BUT it's a total DIY job, with getting the car on jack stands being the hardest part. And it's really not hard.

The $3K is for the timing belt service if you have it done at a shop. But no B$, if he can spin a wrench it's a very simple job.
I think at this point I could do that service with my eyes closed.
AND then you get to take the 308 for a drive!

308 prices have went way up in the last few years too.

I knew an advertising CEO exec back in the 1970's who paid £6,000+ ($8,250+) for a full service on a Porsche 911 turbo even back then 45 years ago. He didn't have the knowledge, time or ability to do a DIY job.

Isn't the Carrera GT's clutch atrociously expensive to replace?
